THE Tim Henry Experience

The Tim Henry Experience is an eclectic and dedicated group of Jazz, Blues, and Rock Artists. Front man, Tim Henry has been a celebrated Jazz Piano and Vocalist for over 3 decades. His work and his band is nothing short of incredible. Tim Henry began playing nightclubs and recording in the Tulsa area at fifteen years old. He went on his first tour at seventeen with Chubby Checker, The Shirelles, and the Coasters. From the beginning, he played the Hammond B-3 organ and sang.

He studied jazz at the University of Tulsa, playing in the Jazz Workshop big band under the direction of Ron Predl.

Tim was a staff musician at Shelter Records in Tulsa which was owned by Leon Russell, Eric Clapton and George Harrison. He was under contract with Skyhill Publishing, the publishing side of Shelter Records, for songwriting.

During the seventies Tim toured extensively throughout North America playing with his own band, as well as working with a diverse group of musicians including Lou Donaldson, Tina Turner, Jerry Jeff Walker, Freddie King, and Vassar Clements.

Tim has surrounded himself with some of the Midwest's finest musicians. Legendary Jazz Guitar great Jerry Hahn has been hailed one of the most influential jazz guitarists of his generation. His work has been featured all over the country and his works have scaled nearly every major Guitar Publication. Saxophone scholar Bill Caldwell brings a rich history and background in Jazz Performance. His works include studio performances with Natalie Cole, the Steve Miller Band, the Glen Miller Orchestra, among others. The incredibly gifted Seth Carrithers on Bass, and percussion lead of Jeff Stidham round out the experience behind The Tim Henry Experience.

The Tim Henry Experience is accepting bookings for shows, community events, and high school & college jazz workshops. They currently just completed their newest album, which will be available for wide release very soon. Tim Henry and the band can be seen every Saturday Night at Suede Lounge from 8-11pm.
